Day one of the 2026 TCR European Endurance season is now over, and as the sun sets in Vallelunga, the reigning champions once again look to be the ones to beat. Eric Scalvini and Salvatore Tavano (Cupra Leon VZ) topped the standings in FP2 after doing so in the opening session as well, this time with a 1:42.576.
The Wimmer Werk Motorsport entry closed out the opening day ahead of Lisi/Berton (Audi RS3 LMS), as the two BF Motorsport drivers confirmed the result obtained earlier today. The same can be said for Çiftçi/Dalokay (Audi RS3 LMS), who finished third just like in FP1. Fourth place, as well as the fastest DSG time, went to Palanti/Carinci (Audi RS3 DSG), who topped the class standings once more after doing so in FP1. However, their nearest rivals were Pezza/Cassarà (Audi RS3 DSG) this time, the Tuder Motorsport duo finishing in second just 0.128s behind the leading DSG entry. Rounding out the DSG top three were Kochendörfer/Klug (Cupra TCR DSG), while in the Gen-1 standings, Kalpaklıoğlu/Göktaş (Audi RS3 Gen-1) were the quickest once again.
The on-track action will resume tomorrow on Saturday 18 April, as the GTC Endurance Challenge will share the track with TCR European Endurance for qualifying: the two sessions, both lasting 15 minutes, are scheduled at 9:00 and 9:40 local time. Stage-1 is then set to begin later that day at 16:00 local time, whereas the second stage takes place on Sunday 19 April, when the green flag will be waived at 14:15 local time. Both stages will be broadcast on TCR TV’s official YouTube channel, as well as on PitwallTV and Acelera GP’s.
