The TCR European Endurance drivers move up the TCR World Ranking following the season finale

With the maiden season of TCR European Endurance now in the books, the TCR World Ranking has now changed following the results of the final race of the year in Misano. The Italian circuit saw the championship go the way of Eric Brigliadori and Turgut Konukoǧlu (Audi RS3 TCR), with the TEXACO Team AMS crew taking a convincing win in a spectacular night race ahead of teammates Barkin Pinar and debutant Sinan Çiftci (Audi RS3 Gen-1), whereas DSG winners Davide Nardilli and Alessandro Lisi (Cupra Leon DSG) rounded out the podium.

Thanks to their third victory of the season, both Konukoǧlu and Brigliadori were on the move in the TCR World Ranking. The former was able to climb to 90th, jumping up six spots; on the other hand, the Italian gained 22 places on his way to 200th. Overall, the TEXACO Team AMS drivers enjoyed a great week. Thanks to his win in the Gen-1 class, Barkin Pinar was able to climb his way up to 315th – a full 56 spots higher than his previous ranking; moreover, his new teammate Sinan Çiftci made his debut in the TCR World Ranking in 464th position. Seda Kaçan and Ibrahim Okyay (Audi RS3 DSG) were also on the move: the Turkish duo climbed inside the top-350 for the first time, gaining 23 and 32 spots respectively.

After an impressive debut win in the DSG class, Pro Race drivers Davide Nardilli and Alessandro Lisi also improved their position in the TCR World Rankings. Lisi was able to jump up to 181st position – 15 places higher than last week – whereas Nardilli settled for 463rd, improving his ranking by 85 spots. The biggest mover among the TCR European Endurance drivers also belongs to the DSG category, and it’s Faro Racing’s Ottavio Cappelli (VW Golf DSG): the Italian is now inside the top-500, occupying 420th position after improving his ranking by a massive 99 places. His teammate, newcomer Alessandro Brigatti, also made his debut in the TCR World Ranking in 490th. Last but not least, Fabrizio Tablò led the other Faro Racing’s VW Golf DSG to a top-5 finish in Misano, which made him climb up 59 spots on his way to 512th.
