The final round of the 2025 TCR European Endurance season marked a memorable victory for Audi. Thanks to the successes achieved with TEXACO Team AMS in the series promoted by Mauricio Slaviero, the German brand celebrated its 600th title for the Audi customer program since the 2009 season.
The Ingolstadt manufacturer has been on the international racing scene since 1980, competing on prestigious stages and achieving numerous victories in multiple categories. In Touring Cars specifically in TCR racing, the Audi RS3 LMS TCR has been a flagship of front-wheel drive cars since its debut in 2016. In addition to being one of the most successful models, it boasts the title of “TCR Model of the Year,” winning it four times in 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
The RS3 LMS TCR has been part of the TCR European Endurance series since the championship’s first race, which concluded triumphantly at the Balaton Park circuit, thanks to Turgut Konukoǧlu and Eric Brigliadori’s win in the TEXACO Team AMS Audi. The duo then went on to win the season finale, becoming the first overall winners in the series. The Turkish team closed the season in impressive style, securing the team title, the DSG class title, and finally the Gen-1 title.
Audi was in fact the only manufacturer to compete in all categories of the European touring car series dedicated to endurance racing: from the second-generation RS3 with sequential gearbox to the DSG version, and of course the Gen-1.
In the latter, at Misano, Sinan Çiftçi and Ibrahim Okyay were crowned champions with TEXACO Team AMS and the Audi RS3 Gen-1. The Turkish team’s second consecutive victory in the Gen-1 class was complemented by the two trophies won by Ibrahim Okyay (Gentleman Trophy) and Berk Kalpaklıoğlu (Junior Trophy), which allowed the German manufacturer to write an important chapter in their racing history.
