The maiden season of TCR European Endurance is set to finish in Italy, as the Misano World Circuit will host the fourth and final race of the championship. The closing round of 2024 was originally scheduled to take place around the Slovakiaring in late August; however, a change of schedule will see the event happen in Misano Adriatico from the 8th to the 10th of November.
Known for being the theatre of internationally-renowned events such as MotoGP, Formula E and GT World Challenge Europe, the 4,226-metre racetrack has also hosted the third race of TCR European Endurance’s inaugural season. On that occasion, PMA Motorsport was able to clinch their first ever win in the series thanks to a brilliant performance by Sandro Pelatti and Franco Girolami. The event was a success, with a spectacular night race stealing the show. The TCR European Endurance teams and drivers will then be back on Italian soil on November 10th, when the first outright champions of the series promoted by Mauricio Slaviero will be crowned. The fight it’s still open between 5 cars who can reach the title: Konukoglu-Brigliadori 123 points, Pinar-Ozen 102, Okyay-Kacan 95, Pelatti 85. Two titles were already won in Misano with Pinar-Ozen Gen-1 champions and Okyay-Kacan winners in the DSG class.
Mauricio Slaviero, TCR European Endurance promoter
“Though it’s a shame that we won’t be racing in Slovakia this summer, I’m very pleased that the championships will finish its first season in history in Italy. The track suits these types of cars perfectly, as the third race of the year demonstrated – it will be the perfect venue for the final round of our 2024 campaign.”
