TCR European Endurance Standings Take Shape After Slovakiaring Ahead of Valencia Debut

After the second round of the 2026 season at the Slovakiaring, the TCR European Endurance enters the heart of the championship, with the standings beginning to take shape ahead of the remainder of the campaign. After the opening events at Mugello and Slovakia, the various classes are starting to identify their leading contenders, while leaving plenty of scenarios open for the second half of the season.

In the classification reserved for sequential-gearbox TCR cars, the championship lead is shared by Italian duo Alessandro Lisi and Alessandro Berton (BF Motorsport), who top the standings with 122 points thanks to their consistent performances over the opening two rounds. Chasing them are Vedat Ali Dalokay and Sinan Çiftçi of TEXACO Team AMS, who sit second on 115 points, while Berk Kalpaklıoğlu and Umut Göktaş, also representing the Turkish squad, currently complete the provisional top three. In the Teams’ Championship, BF Motorsport leads the way with 120 points, ahead of TEXACO Team AMS (117) and Wimmer Werk Motorsport (82).

Also worth highlighting is the comeback of reigning champions Eric Scalvini and Salvatore Tavano, who delivered a flawless performance at the Slovakiaring. After a difficult start to the season at Mugello, the Wimmer Werk Motorsport pairing claimed maximum points in Round 2, climbing to 82 points in the championship. The result puts the Italian duo firmly back into title contention, reducing the gap to the leaders and reopening the fight ahead of the remaining rounds.

In the Gen-1 category, the only entry to have competed so far is the Audi RS3 Gen-1 shared by Kalpaklıoğlu/Göktaş, who lead the class with a perfect score of 150 points. The DSG category, meanwhile, remains extremely competitive, with Paolo Palanti and Cristian Carinci (Casals Motorsport) leading the standings on 125 points while holding only a narrow advantage over their rivals. Just five points behind are Dario Caso and Michele Locatelli, while Pasquale Serratore and Andrea Argenti occupy third place with 108 points. In the Teams’ standings, Brothers in Arms remains at the top with 126 points, followed by Casals Motorsport (125) and Tuder Motorsport (105).

The individual trophy standings also underline the close competition that has characterised the season so far. In the Gentleman Trophy, the lead is jointly held by Pasquale Serratore, Andrea Argenti, and Paolo Palanti, while the Junior Trophy is jointly led by Umut Göktaş and Berk Kalpaklıoğlu, with Aaron Klug in third place.

Following the summer break, the TCR European Endurance will return to action on 26–27 September for the third round of the season, which will mark a historic first for the series with its debut at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. Once again, the championship will share the weekend with the GTC Endurance Challenge, creating another event dedicated entirely to endurance touring car racing.
