A phenomenal weekend for Eric Scalvini and Salvatore Tavano (Cupra Leon VZ) sees them return to the top step of the podium in TCR European Endurance. The reigning champions have dominated the second weekend of the 2026 season, topping every session held at the Slovakiaring and securing the race win in the TCR Sequential class of the series promoted by Riza International.
The Italian duo had a near-perfect Stage-2, consolidating the advantage created on Saturday and taking home the win in the second race of their 2026 campaign. Second position in the final race results went to Lisi/Berton (Audi RS3 LMS), as the BF Motorsport duo repeated the same result they achieved in Vallelunga. The other Wimmer Werk Motorsport entry, driven by Kochendörfer/Klug (Cupra Leon Competicion), finished their maiden race weekend in the Sequential class with third position, while also taking home second in Stage-2. It wasn’t the weekend that championship leaders Çiftçi/Dalokay (Audi RS3 LMS) hoped for: the Turkish duo finished the race in fourth, after spinning out with 6 minutes to go during Stage-2 and beaching the car in the gravel, causing a late safety car in the process. The other TEXACO Team AMS entry, driven by Kalpaklıoğlu/Göktaş (Audi RS3 Gen-1), took the Gen-1 spoils once again.
In the TCR DSG category, Paolo Palanti and Cristian Carinci (Audi RS3 DSG) were able to secure their maiden class win at the Slovakiaring. The Italian pair had secured the race lead after Stage-1, and came through for the win after a closely-fought second stage of the weekend. Caso/Locatelli (Cupra TCR DSG) had to settle for second once again after doing so in Vallelunga, though they still tasted success as they took victory in Stage-2 here at the Slovakiaring. Third place in the final race results went to Pezza/Verrocchio (Audi RS3 DSG), despite being hit with a 10-second time penalty on Sunday for a pit stop infringement, while championship leaders Argenti/Serratore (Cupra TCR DSG) took fourth.
The next round of the 2026 TCR European Endurance season, which will continue its partnership with the GTC Endurance Challenge, is set to see drivers race in Valencia, with the Circuito Ricardo Tormo hosting race three of the 2026 campaign from September 25th to September 27th.
