Misano, FP3 & FP4: Scalvini/Tavano (Cupra Leon Competicion) still on top

After setting the fastest time across the first two free practice sessions, Eric Scalvini and Salvatore Tavano (Cupra Leon Competicion) topped the remaining two segments too. The Wimmer Werk Motorsport pair, which took home their first overall victory last time out in Vallelunga, thus continues their great run of form, as their 1:42.272 set during FP4 is the fastest time of the day so far.

The Italian duo went fastest in FP3 too, this time with a 1:43.454, narrowly edging out Yuri and Eric Brigliadori (Audi RS3 LMS) by just 0.153s. The BF Motorsport entry was able to run consistently throughout the last two free practice sessions after encountering issues earlier this morning. The DSG lead once again belonged to Damante/Maccari (Audi RS3 DSG), who finished third ahead of Gen-1 leaders Çiftçi/Okyay (Audi RS3 Gen-1). Alessandro and Alessio Alcidi (VW Golf DSG) took home fifth, ahead of Summerbell/Issa (Cupra Leon DSG). Bernhard Stitz (Hyundai Elantra N) continued to make inroads in his first race weekend in the series promoted by Mauricio Slaviero, finishing in seventh place ahead of Cuppari/Armogida (VW Golf DSG) and Kalpaklıoğlu/Göktaş (Audi RS3 DSG).

Just like the third session, FP4 ran without any major interruptions. Scalvini/Tavano had to wait for the very last lap to set the fastest overall time of the day, becoming the only entry to drop under the 1:43s. The Brigliadori brothers managed to finish in second, while Summerbell/Issa topped the DSG standings for the first time this weekend, improving on the time previously set by Damante/Maccari by 0.196s. Bernhard Stitz found his way into the top-5 at last, while Çiftçi/Okyay set the sixth fastest time. Alessio and Alessandro Alcidi were seventh for Tuder Motorsport, with Kalpaklıoğlu/Göktaş in eighth and Cuppari/Armogida a further spot behind.

With free practice now in the books, the schedule for Friday 14 November still sees qualifying yet to take place, with the usual two sessions starting at 17:50 and 18:10 local time. Both stages will steal the show on Saturday 15 November, with Stage-1 starting at 9:00 local time and Stage-2 at 17:45 local time. The two stages that will crown the 2025 TCR European Endurance champions will once again be broadcast live on TCR TV’s official YouTube Channel, with Daniele Spadi on commentary duties.
