GM Racing Team to debut in the TCR European Endurance

GM Racing Team is set to look beyond national borders once again, announcing its return to the international stage: in 2026, the Serbian outfit will debut in the TCR European Endurance with an Audi RS3 LMS, entering the continental endurance touring car arena.

The Gornji Milanovac-based team has chosen an experience-driven approach to tackle this new technical and sporting challenge. The full-season drivers will be Rudolf “Rudi” Pešović and Žarko Terzić, joined by fellow Serbian Zoran Kastratovic in the role of reserve driver.

Born in 1971, Rudolf Pešović has built a career spanning national competitions and European championships. Over the past decade, he has competed in the FIA Central European Zone Circuit Championship and the FIA European Touring Car Cup, gaining experience in highly competitive technical environments. In 2020, he also contested two rounds of TCR Eastern Europe, a championship that shared the stage with the TCR European Endurance at the latter’s inaugural event at Balaton Park.

The 2026 campaign introduces an additional technical and strategic variable: in the series promoted by RIZA International, TCR cars will share the track with GT4 machinery as part of the GTC Endurance Challenge, requiring teams to adopt even more refined traffic management and race strategies.

One year younger than his teammate, Žarko Terzić represents a long-standing figure within GM Racing Team. Having developed through regional and national championships, he has been with the squad since its early years, contributing to its establishment within the Serbian touring car scene. His deep knowledge of the team’s technical and organisational structure provides key continuity as it transitions to the European endurance stage.

Completing the line-up is Zoran Kastratovic, also Serbian, with experience gained on Central European circuits. In 2019, he competed in the ESET MMSR championship at the wheel of the Chevrolet Cruze WTCC, a model that wrote important chapters in the World Touring Car Championship with victories claimed, among others, by Yvan Muller.

The 2026 TCR European Endurance season will get underway at the Vallelunga Circuit on April 19, before heading to the Slovakiaring and then to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo for its first-ever appearance on September 27. As in previous seasons, the grand finale will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on November 15.
