Casals Motorsport ready to make its debut in TCR European Endurance

Three months ahead of the start of the 2026 TCR European Endurance season — the series promoted by RIZA International which, starting this year, will run alongside the new GTC Endurance Challenge — a new team has announced its participation.

The entry is Casals Motorsport, a new team founded by Giulio Cappello and Gustavo Sandrucci. Established in 2024, the Italian outfit already achieved excellent results last year in TCR Italy, including two victories at Vallelunga and Misano, thanks to Gustavo’s abilities not only as driver but also as a team manager.

For Casals Motorsport, entering the TCR European Endurance marks the transition from a national to a continental series, significantly raising the level of competition. The team has registered in the category reserved for cars equipped with DSG gearboxes, a class that has delivered spectacular racing and thrilling battles during the series’ first two seasons.

The Italian outfit will face this new challenge with two Audi RS3s — the most successful model in TCR European Endurance history — competing in the DSG category, which has featured the highest number of entries over the past two seasons.

The team is now preparing for the 2026 campaign, which kicks off on April 19th at the Vallelunga Circuit in Italy. The action will then move to the Slovakiaring on July 7th, followed by a round in Spain at the Valencia circuit on September 27th, before concluding on November 15th at Misano, at the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit.
