Casals Motorsport has announced the signing of Cristian Carinci for the 2026 TCR European Endurance season, which will mark the European debut of the team founded by Giulio Cappello and Gustavo Sandrucci. Following the confirmation of Paolo Palanti, Carinci joins the line-up at the wheel of the Audi RS3 LMS TCR, bringing a dynamic profile that combines entrepreneurial activity with growing on-track experience.
Although primarily coming from testing sessions, the Italian driver has already accumulated significant mileage in touring cars such as the Renault Clio RS Cup, Mitjet, and Audi RS3 TCR. This path has allowed him to build solid technical foundations ahead of his competitive debut at European level. His first taste of race conditions has already come at Vallelunga, where Carinci completed a shakedown with the team, gathering encouraging feedback. From the very first laps, both speed and confidence with the car were evident, in line with the team’s expectations.
Building on the results achieved in TCR Italy despite limited experience, Casals Motorsport approaches this new challenge with ambition and a line-up designed to grow throughout the season. The 2026 TCR European Endurance will kick off on April 19 at Vallelunga. The format includes two 55-minute stages, which will determine the overall classification of each round in the endurance touring series promoted by RIZA International.
