Another team is joining the 2024 TCR European Endurance championship for the second race of the season at Vallelunga. RC Motorsport has announced its participation in the first Italian round of the series promoted by Mauricio Slaviero. The line-up for the team will be made up by Federico Paolino and Alberto Rodio, two drivers that already have a lot of experience with the TCR cars, so the team is willing to reach a great performance and a wonderful result in their home soil. The car they are going to drive is the Cupra DSG, therefore they will compete for the standings reserved to DSG cars.
Federico Paolino has driven already the Cupra Leon Competiciòn in the past, before switching to Audi RS3 LMS in 2023 for the Italian Touring Car Championship. He also raced with the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo in 2019 where he managed to stand on the podium in every race of the Italian GT Championship Sprint in AM class, as he reached the third place at the end of the championship.
Alongside him, Alberto Rodio will complete the lineup for RC Motorsport. Born in 1966 in Rome, the Italian driver came back to competitions in 2021 with the Audi RS3 DSG as he got sixth place in the Italian Touring Car Championship despite having raced only twice. Alberto also participated in the Coppa Italia Turismo, again with the Audi RS3, and in the Italian GT Championship Endurance.
Federico and Alberto are set to bring the colors of the Italian team high in the standings, with the second round of the 2024 TCR European Endurance Championship is coming up at Vallelunga next weekend, 19th May.
