The 2024 TCR European Endurance grid is constantly expanding upon the championship’s maiden round of the season. In fact, Zsille Motorsport has announced its participation to the new series promoted by Mauricio Slaviero, with the Cupra DSG being its car of choice. The Hungarian outfit has also announced its two drivers for the championship; the first one is Zoltan Barkovics, a former Suzuki Swift Cup Hungary champion with a lot of experience in national one-make trophies. Balazs Takacs will complete Zsille Motorsport’s lineup: the Hungarian has experience in both track and rallycross racing, and he’s coming back to circuit competition in the TCR European Endurance.
Since its foundation back in 2007, Zsille Motorsport has been a driving force in national competitions, achieving multiple podium finishes in various categories such as SEAT Leon Supercup and Suzuki Swift Cup. Moreover, the team also has experience in continental championships such as the Renault Clio Eurocup, establishing itself as a consolidated presence in the motorsport world. Zsille Motorsport has helped nurturing various local talents such as continental TCR star Levente Losonczy and five-time European Truck Racing champion Norbert Kiss.
The maiden season of the TCR European Endurance is right around the corner, with the Balaton Park Circuit hosting round one on April 28th. The series will then race twice on Italian soil, in Vallelunga on May 19th and in Misano for exciting night races on June 22nd; lastly, the Slovakiaring will be home of the season finale on August 25th. Each round will host a two-hour event split into two one-hour races, with the final overall standings created by combining the results of the two parts.
