Plenty of moves in the TCR World Ranking for the TCR European Endurance drivers after round two of the season

The second round of the 2026 TCR European Endurance season had plenty of twists and turns, and after two exciting stages, the reigning champions Eric Scalvini and Salvatore Tavano (Cupra Leon VZ) returned to the top after a troublesome start to the season.

In fact, the Italian duo took their first win of the year after being forced to retire from the opening race of 2026 in Vallelunga. This enabled them to rise in the TCR World Ranking, the standings that take into account every result from TCR-sanctioned series all around the world. Tavano is the highest ranked driver from TCR European Endurance, and has now climbed 9 spots and is up to 42nd; on the other hand, Scalvini has risen by 45 paces to reach 306th position. Second-place finishers and championship leaders Lisi/Berton (Audi RS3 LMS) were also on the rise: the former is up 62 positions on his way to 351st, while the latter has climbed from 157th all the way to 140th.

The biggest movers of the week among the TCR European Endurance drivers were Wimmer Werk Motorsport’s Kochendörfer/Klug (Cupra Leon Competicion). Racing for the first time in the Sequential class this season, they have risen in the rankings by a whopping 85 positions each, as they now both sit in 386th. Great inroads were also made by the Gen-1 winning entry of Kalpaklıoğlu/Göktaş (Audi RS3 Gen-1), as they gained 31 spots apiece to rise up to 303rd and 328th respectively.

Looking at the DSG entries, the Casals Motorsport Audi of Palanti/Carinci took the race win for the first time this season, and thanks to this impressive result, the two have gained 71 spots combined, climbing up to 158th and 403rd respectively. Second-place finishers Caso/Locatelli (Cupra Leon DSG) were also on the move; Caso rose to 403rd by gaining 28 spots, while Locatelli made his debut in the TCR World Ranking thanks to his efforts at the Slovakiaring, and is now in 465th.

TCR European Endurance now heads into a two-month break, as the next round will be at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia from September 25 to September 27.
