TCR European Endurance will be part of the GTC Endurance Challenge in the 2026 season. After listening to the feedback of teams and drivers alike, the exciting endurance format used by the continental series dedicated to TCR cars will be used in the new championship, too. Each race will be split into two 55-minute stages, with a mandatory pit stop in both segments. Points will be awarded for each stage, as well as qualifying and the total race result, which will be created by combining the times of each stage.
Two main classes are set to be featured in the brand new GTC Endurance Challenge. On one hand, TCR entries will be split between those with a sequential gearbox and the DSG class. Alongside them, the championship will be opened to GT4 cars as well: a brand new entry in the ecosystem, which is set to make races even more interesting in terms of strategy and variety. Four classes are scheduled to be present: Silver, Pro-Am and AM, as well as GTS – dedicated to the previous generation of GT4 cars.
Limited costs will be one of the championship’s strengths, thanks to the low entry fee for the entire season, the opportunity to share the car with another driver and the opportunity of a scaled payment plan. Teams wishing to benefit from the annual registration fee rates must pay 15% of the total annual registration amount by January 15, 2026. Those that fail to make this deadline will be required to pay registration fees on a race-by-race basis.
