Ottavio Cappelli continues his adventure in the TCR European Endurance and he will be on the grid the next season. The Italian driver debuted in the series promoted by Mauricio Slaviero with a surprising weekend at Misano last summer, conquering the overall podium and the DSG class victory with Stefano Comini.
Team manager of Faro Racing Fabrizio Tablò has confirmed Cappelli to be driving the VW Golf DSG for 2025. Despite the short time to test the car – coming from the Clio Cup – Cappelli immediately proved to be ready, replicating the category podium in the last appointment, earning him reconfirmation. The kilometers gained last season could help Faro Racing’s Golf in the hunt for the DSG class title, although even fiercer competition is expected.
His teammate is yet to be announced, while the Italian driver has been able to adapt in sharing the Golf DSG both with the experienced Stefano Comini and the debutant – among TCR competitions – Alessandro Brigatti.
The 2025 season of the TCR European Endurance will start at the Mugello circuit on March 30th.
