Championship leaders Turgut Konukoǧlu and Eric Brigliadori (Audi RS3 TCR) – TEXACO Team AMS – started the weekend at the top, aiming to maximize their chances of winning the inaugural TCR European Endurance title. The leading pair secured first position in the first free practice session at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli with a lap time of 1:43.174. TEXACO Team AMS further demonstrated its strength with its other entry, driven by Okyay/Kaçan, finishing in second place and clocking the highest number of laps in the session, benefiting from prior experience acquired during the third round of the season on the Italian track.
The Turkish team with the car number #4 also leads the DSG class, followed closely by Pro Race’s Cupra – at its debut in the Mauricio Slaviero series – driven by Nardilli/Lisi. The top five is then completed by Cappelli/Brigatti (VW Golf DSG) and Pinar/Çiftci (Audi RS3 Gen-1). Notably, TEXACO Team AMS made a last-minute line-up change for its #3 car, with Sinan Çiftci stepping in for Zekai Özen.
The second free practice session is set for later today at 2:55 PM local time, followed by the qualifying round at 6:00 PM. The two race stages will go underway on Saturday, November 9, at 9:00 AM and 5:35 PM, during which the championship title will be decided. Both stages will be streamed live on TCR TV’s YouTube channel and with commentary from Stefano Russo.
