The last round of the inaugural TCR European Endurance season is about to start at the Misano World Circuit. After having already tackled the first race held on the Romagna circuit, Faro Racing will be on the starting grid with two Volkswagen Golf TCR cars, belonging to the DSG category.
The first car on which the team led by Fabrizio Tablò will rely, will be driven by the pair formed by Ottavio Cappelli and Alessandro Brigatti. Ottavio comes back to Misano after the victory in the DSG class (and podium in the overall standings) obtained last June in the series, together with the driver and coach Stefano Comini. In fact, Cappelli has 31 points in the championship and is in second place in the standings dedicated to DSG cars.
The new addition to the team Alessandro Brigatti will join him for this race. The driver from Lissone has gained driving experience on covered-wheel cars such as the Clio Cup and the BMW M2 CS Cup, in which he has also obtained several podiums.
The category reserved for cars with a DSG gearbox is becoming increasingly crowded with participants, further elevating the competition and promising a show for the final race of the season. The circuit named after Marco Simoncelli will host the first free practice sessions and qualifying on Friday, November 8, 2024, while the two stages of the race will take place the following day, Saturday, November 9.
